About the Club

Whether you are brand new to stand up paddling or have been paddling and want to improve your skills or be prepared for our local race on Hilton Head coming up September 5th to 7th, this 4-week SUP camp will help you learn and grow.

Choose from one of the followingg:

New to Beginner Group:

Those brand new to SUP, have had the bare minimum instruction (maybe you've done a SUP lesson with me or another outfitter), are building up your fitness and confidence to stand up for longer periods of time.  If you've taken the SUP 101 Workshop and you want to continue paddling and learning this group is for you. You will learn and continue to build on the fundamentals of stand up paddling and proper paddle stroke, basic turns, water safety, and general information and awareness about our local waters. Rentals boards and equipement are available, or if you own your own, we recommend using that.

Beginner to Intermediate Group:

Those who have been paddling for a bit, understand the phases of the paddle stroke, can perform basic turns, and are able to stand up and paddle at least 3 miles in 1 hour. You will be building on your understanding of proper paddle stroke, learning drills to help your stroke, SUP skills progressions, level 2 turns and beginner footwork, paddling dynamics and strategy for navigating our local waterways, plus working on overall fitness and aerobic base conditioning on your board. If you have taken the SUP 102 Workshop and would like to continue paddling and practicing this group is for you. It's recommended that you have your own board for this Group so you can build familiarity and confidence on it.  Rental boards are available if you do not yet have your own board and Rachel can work with you to help you decide what board may be ideal for you.

When & Where:

**Start time is on the water time — arrive early if you need to prep, pump, or unload. Late arrivals are responsible for catching up.
