My Retreat Vision and Mission

The vision for Stand and Paddle’s Retreats and trips comes from mine and my guests lived experiences.

 

Travel, retreats, conferences, ocean experiences, and time spent in Costa Rica and California opened my eyes to a different way of living — one with more simplicity, flow, clarity, connection, and peace.

 

SUP and paddle surfing deepened that even further.

 

They became tools for growth, awareness, challenge, confidence, and self-discovery. They revealed what was possible, while also exposing the places where fear, limitation, stress, or old patterns still existed.

 

Like many people, I would return home from retreats or travel experiences feeling refreshed and inspired — only to slowly fall back into the same routines, habits, stressors, and patterns that existed before.

 

What was missing wasn’t the experience itself.

 

It was integration.

 

Learning how to carry those feelings, lessons, habits, and rhythms into everyday life in a sustainable way.

 

This realization became the foundation for my retreats and immersion trips.

 

The goal is not simply to provide a temporary escape.

It is to create meaningful experiences that inspire lasting change.

 

To give people not only the experience —

but also the tools, support, direction, and empowerment to build a lifestyle that feels healthier, more aligned, more intentional, and more fulfilling long after they leave Costa Rica. One that encompasses SUP, paddle surfing and the ocean.

Boost your chances and rate of success with video analysis for either SUP or paddle surfing.  Seeing yourself firsthand increases awareness and help you apply what your coach instructs you to do. Add on this highly effective optional service to help you hone in on your paddling and surf skills.
