5-Week SUP Training League
Want to really get into SUP? Get ready for an upcoming Paddle race like Paddle the May? Let’s do it together! Weekly group paddles and coaching.
What to expect:
In our 5-week SUP Training Club you will learn valuable information on how to train properly and prepare for your race, as well as technical skills and coaching that will help you perform better on race day. Some topics to be covered include: paddle stroke and technique coaching, race starts/finishes, pacing, safety, and reading various water conditions including tides, wind, chop, wakes, and lines. This is a group coaching program that will highlight a particular paddle topic during each weekly training session. Come prepared to paddle hard, increase awareness and gain experience, connect with other paddlers, and build confidence so you will be prepared and can perform your best on race day.
In addition to the in-person group sessions, you will also receive paddle workouts (2-3 paddles are recommended weekly, group session may count as one), land strength training and conditioning workouts to help supplement your training program, guidelines for nutrition and hydration, and recovery recommendations. Workouts can be done with other training club members, or by yourself throughout the course of the month to help you reach your peak on race day.

Paddle Practice
(Adult SUP Club)
Paddle practice is back for 2023! You may see us refer to them as “SUP Club Meetups” this year.
Here’s how it works and that they are…
Group meetups to practice your paddling. We welcome all paddlers from beginner to advanced to join us.
Self-paced, self-timed group paddle. You can push yourself or pace yourself but either way you will definitely get quality time paddling! All in all it’s our fun, friendly way to create community amongst the Lowcountry and SUP.
Understanding of basic paddling technique or a minimum of 1 SUP Lesson is required. You must be able to paddle a minimum of 2 miles and be ok whether you’re at the front or back of the group.
Cost:
$10/person. Additional $25 for board rental.
